Sodium Tripolyphosphate 94% STPP Detergent Grade
As a chained condensation compound of phosphate soluble in water, it has two existing forms: Na5P3O10(Anhydrous) and Na5P3O10•6H2O(Crystal). The specific gravity of Na5P3O10•6H2O is 2.12, that of Na5P3O10 is 0.5-0.6, melting point for both is 622°C. Anhydrous Na5P3O10 is capable of absorbing humidity with its aqueous solution being alkalinity and will be hydrolyzed to ortho-phosphates; It can have emulsification, suspension and dispersion of mud and oil; it has strong buffering effects with PH value between 4.3-14.

Application
Application of 94% STPP
As main synthetic detergent builder, as soft water agent, as detergent building foaming agent, as emulsifier of oils and greases, as peptizing agents as PH buffers, and to provide alkalinity. Used in petroleum industry as peptizing and deflocculation agents in oil well drilling muds, sequestration in cotton boiling, catalyst of organic synthesis bath water g softening, red and black water control, catholic corrosion inhibitor, It can be used in syntheticing rubber and fiber making industries.
Product use
Sodium tripolyphosphate has chelating, suspending, dispersing, gel dissolving, emulsifying, pH buffering and other functions. It can be used as auxiliary agent of synthetic detergent, industrial water softener, leather pre-tanning agent, dyeing assistant, organic synthesis catalyst, dispersing agent of medical industry and food additive.
At present, its largest use is still as a powder synthetic detergent additives and Ceramic Degumming Agent.
